Hello Johnny,

when I saw right the length on the cover picture, then it will be a monster - 64cm!

So the build have started....
With buildgroup1 the hull. I did of course get the laserparts for this model :) and it seems like the partsfit is very good here. Havent been able to find english instructions for this model...so I make it in a slow pace with a lot of research....but there seems to be very few builds out there of this model.
Ok..enough said, on to the build. A lot of frames here, and I did some custom stiffeners to assure a 90degree angle between the formers.

Top and bottom view
BildBild

And a side view.
Bild

Next will be the drivers department :)

Started to make the cockpit. Many small parts in this buildgroup....So I only managed to do the right side in one evening..

The drawing and the main layout of the cockpit
BildBild

Main part scored and cutted and almost all parts for the right handside is ready. Some levers and adjustmentpin to go

Enjoying :)

Thanks a lot Wolfgang and Andy!!

Happy new year to all of you :)

Drivers cabin is done..a lot of work for almost nothing since the inside will nearly be visible through the drivers hatch..
BildBild

Plenty of details inside the cabin
BildBild

Continued skinning the beast...
BildBild

The fit of the skin is not the best I have seen...but its good enough with some help with trimming and paint..
BildBild

The front part. A lot of parts and details on this side of the tank...Also started to build up the underside of the hull. The shafts and other parts.
BildBild

Rear and the front plate that will be stuffed with parts...
BildBild

The front plate...and the drawing
BildBild

Mounted...and the driver in place :)
BildBild

Next update in about 14 days :)
Taking a trip to my house in spain next week :)

Hi Johnny,

the outside plating on the front plate looks very komplex and will be a lot of work.
It is sad, that the interior of the drivers cabin will be invisible when closed.

Cheers

Yes you are right Wiwo :) This is a kit with an enormous level of detail...

Wheels...
Had to try to make one of the roadwheels. Oh my...what a timeconsuming job it was on this model. Used about 4 hours to make half a wheel :)
It contains a lot of parts as you can see of the drawing.
Bild

Its a lot of nice details. Also did some weathering...or accident if you like :)
Bild

This kit is really a massive one, and will take some time to finish :)
But as I see it..the pleasure with this hobby is so great that the time does not count.
So lets continue with the wheels..
BildBild

Im not used to this type of drawings so I use a bit of time to study parts and drawings...And have not found any buildreports of this kit that are much helpful..so I struggle on :)
Bild

More next week :)

The testbuild of the wheel is finished...Each wheel contains 54 parts...will do a more pictured build of the wheels later :)
But all in all I think it came out fairly good :)

I have decided to make the tank in several sections. First section to be finished is the underside of the hull.
The part isA bulldozer blade is mounted on the T-72's nose and can be deployed to dig firing positions or clear debris.
Drawing tells me the number of parts is 50..

The drawing
Bild

The top side is laminated to 1mm lasercut part :) Just have to say that the laserpackage for this tank is really huge!!! Almost complete covering of 1 and o,5mm parts.
Not very strange it was pricy :)
Another neat thing with this model is the 1:1 drawing. A lot of them :) As you can see here, the finished part is placed on the drawing.
BildBild

Next was to start making the cylinders. Pretty straight forward building here.
BildBild

A lot of bulbes or some halftubedshaped parts on the underside
BildBild
Im not sure what this is for parts...maybe someone can enlighten me??
Managed to delete the picture of the finished parts..will do another soon :)

Hi Johnny,

your first wheel looks excellent! I think, 54 Parts and four hours work on it - its a lot, but the result is it worth. :ymapplause:
The lasercutpackage is also a big help. I liked it at my build of the Tegetthoff (instead of some problems). :-bd
The alternative would be to cut those parts by hand! :-s

Cheers

Next is the inside of the front mudguards. Not very difficult, but getting it nicely done....is another matter.
BildBild

Some parts laminater to 1mm laserparts. And did also some preshaping ot the main part :)

Inside of the mudguard and the preshaped part.

The first one in place :)

Continuing making parts for the side. Since im no expert on tanks..im not sure what this parts are...
But here we go :)
Drawing and some of the parts to be used.
BildBild

Also had to make some rivets/boltheads. Theese are 1mm in diameter.
BildBild

Here I have cutted and laminated the parts, plus some of the laserparts. The finished parts placed on the 1:1 drawing.
BildBild

Then placed on the side. There are 3 such part on each side.
BildBild

BildBild

Next will be the upper rollers and some other details :)
More next week!

Hello modellers!!

Update on the P91 :)

Making of the upper rollers.
First the drawing.
The roller is made of 27 parts all in all with nuts and bolts included
Bild

I made the base plate for the roller first. Then cutted all parts ready.
Added some disks and nuts on the plates to make a more realistic look.
BildBild

So lets get started with the rollers :)
I hope you dont mind going in details on how I do it...maybe you do it otherwise then me, but here are my ways of doing it :)
I always start with painting the edges..and since im colorblind it a challenge :) . I have to take the model with me to the colorstore to have the colors scanned
and then make colors out of that. works fine, but minimum quantity is 0,5 liter of paint..so you can imagine I have A LOT of paint at home :)
Bild

After painting the edges, I do some preshaping of the part. Placing the strip in my hand and use a wooden dowel to shape it by rolling it on the part until I have the desired shape.
Bild

I roll it so the edges of the cirkle overlap
Bild

Then I glue the edges together.
Bild

Next is to put the disc in. I put in the front side first, the fit has to be tight, so a bit of sanding is often required.
I found a picture of the real roller, and I could see I had to add some details to it :)
BildBild
